Endowment

The Friends Select School endowment fund is the cornerstone of our financial foundation—an economically sustainable resource that supports the school's long-term goals and initiatives. Simply put, the larger the endowment, the greater the stability and flexibility for Friends Select.

Gifts to Friends Select’s endowment add to its principal, and with thoughtfully invested funds, it generates annual income that directly contributes to maintaining the school's legacy of excellence in teaching and learning, attracting and supporting world-class faculty, enriching educational and extracurricular opportunities and fostering an environment centered around Quaker values.

ENDOWMENT FOR FINANCIAL AID

Friends Select is committed to reflecting the Philadelphia region's broad economic and cultural panorama in its student body. Financial aid helps make this possible.

More than 90% of the school’s financial aid support is funded through the operating budget, placing additional pressure on a finite revenue stream. Gifts to the endowment for financial aid ensure Friends Select is accessible to students from varied backgrounds for years to come.

ENDOWMENT FOR DEDICATED FACULTY

Talented and committed faculty and staff are at the core of the Friends Select School legacy.

Gifts to the endowment for dedicated faculty financial aid ensure Friends Select can attract, retain, and support our faculty and staff. Additionally, the endowment for dedicated faculty enables continued education and professional development opportunities for faculty and staff, exposes them to new delivery methods and teaching styles, develops knowledge and insight, provides curricular resources, and extends teaching practices to incorporate digital tools—resulting in improved learning outcomes for our students.
